begining this post with updates of me for the past few days, to be more precise, TODAY.

sexciting day! drag my heavy body reluctantly up from bed and my cosy blanket early in the morning. 8 am. haven woke up so early since A lvl ended.today was my 1st lesson.my 1st ever ever ever driving lesson. my 1st ever ever ever ever time handling a car! a manual car! lol. simply sexciting. met my instructor mr ho at 10.30. his voice kinda make me luff. hohohoho. old and experienced instructor i must say. but speaks in chinese and abit dialect. so kinda cant relate what he is talking with what i read in books. had a hard time understanding at first. lolx . kinda smooth sailing today. drove round and round the ubi driving centre. did some changing of gears from Neutral to 1 to 2. starting the vehicle. and stopping. and a tiny winny bit of reversing. smooth! sweet! but engine stalled once. lol. but i am kinda happy cos its my 1st time handling this piece of metal. wootz! looking fwd to next lesson on fri =)

after driving lesson went on to catch 2 movies. Ghost Tunnel and Night at the Museum. nice movies i must say. horror and then adventure/comedy. kinda tired after both movies due to me sleeping at ard 4.30am this morning. twisted and turned in bed since 1am. lol.

anyway, the thing that strike me most today is the ASEAN 8 Finals Lg 1 match. Singapore vs Thailand. Thailand had full squad of home grown thais while sg had almost half a team of "bought in" singaporeans. controvesy penalty given when the game was tied at 1-1 with thailand scoring an early equaliser in the 2nd half. thailand players were frustrated and the whole team just refused to accept the decision and play on. true team spirit. i did do that too if my team were to be maglined. so the problem was was it really a foul on alam shaah ? the referee seemed sure that it was. however from wat i see from the replays, i beg to differ. after much time was wasted, the referee still did not budge. his decision was not waiver by the thais' protest and the thais reluctantly return to the game. makes me wonder if the malaysian referee took some money?hehehe. and didnt noor alam shaah speak up?? why not? kia-su? ang mo with malay name apparently took the penalty and scored. nicely taken no doubt. but do team singapore have to celebrate like its waoh ! wee-u-wee. we scored !!! was it in the first place a deserved penalty kick? do u have to rub salt into the thais' wound ? showing off ? scored from a penalty kick ? BIG DEAL ? then ten plus one, eleven (sg's player from china, shi jia yi) and itimi Dick'son have to play at the corner flag and delay more time and waste more time. so have these imported air flown players converted to singapore nationality really been useful? really did singapore proud ? TACTIC we call it. but is it necessary ? wasting time to anger the thais even further?all these just to win? really scared to lose? kia-su? bet the thais are calling us that now. LOL. great job by some of the crowd who spurred the thais on. making faces and cheering even louder. is it necessary ? so ppl out there who think by winning the game we shd be proud? since we haven won the thais since 1977 ? happy? won? singapore might have won the match. but we definitely lost in the sportsmanship and the interpersonal relationship. we might even had worsen the ties btw thailand and singapore. to me , as a singaporean i feel quite ashamed and have lost it totally. i will definitely be watching the return game in thailand. hope nothing violent will happen there tho. CHEERS for the "i-hope-still-beautiful-game"!
